Hi, I’m Capt. John Kraus—retired Army veteran, former corporate warrior, proud father of two amazing daughters, and now, ice cream enthusiast. After two combat tours, 1 humanitarian tour and a career navigating the chaos of both the military and corporate America, I decided it was time for a change. I wanted to build something of my own—something fun, something meaningful, and something that actually brings people joy. That’s how Kraus Kreamery was born.

With a BA in History from Niagara University and a Master’s in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Diego, I spent years solving complex logistical puzzles. But at the end of the day, I wanted more than spreadsheets and supply chains—I wanted a business that made people smile. Ice cream is simple. It’s happiness in a cone. And after all the craziness of my past careers, I figured a little sweetness was exactly what I needed.
